Disabled Access

The university strives to make its programs, services and activities accessible to all persons.

Guests Requiring ADA Accessibility

If anyone in your party requires special assistance, please call the Commencement Office to make arrangements at (314) 935-8186.

Three entrances to the Quadrangle are ramped for wheelchair access including the entrances south and north of Ridgley Hall and between Duncker and Cupples I Halls. Once inside the Brookings Quadrangle, guests with special needs will be assisted by one of the ushers for proper seating.

Accessibility maps and information about buildings on campus can be found on our Facilities website.

On Commencement morning from 7:15–11:30 a.m. golf cart shuttles will run on a regular route through the inner campus.

Disabled Parking

Vehicles transporting mobility-impaired guests may use the driveway south of Brookings Hall to drop off their passengers. Elevators adjacent to this lot in South Brookings Hall provide access to the Quadrangle.

Since disabled parking is limited near the Quadrangle, drivers may be asked to park their vehicles in a general parking area after dropping off their passengers.

For guests who must park in disabled spaces, please be sure to bring your personal state handicapped parking tag or verification of it. This tag or tag verification will allow you to park in a disabled space on campus. Learn more about disabled parking on campus on the WUSTL Parking & Transportation Services website.

Sign Language

An American Sign Language interpreter will be present during Commencement and during individual school ceremonies.
