Disability Access

Anyone needing special assistance while attending the Friday morning Commencement Ceremony are encouraged to contact Donna Kepley at (314) 935-5102. Individuals who will need a wheelchair are encouraged to contact directly the Medical West Healthcare Center at (314) 725-1888 for rental arrangements. An American Sign Language interpreter will be present during Commencement and during individual School ceremonies.

Vehicles transporting mobility-impaired visitors may use the driveway south of Brookings Hall to drop off their passengers. Elevators in South Brookings provide access to the Quadrangle. Since handicapped parking is limited near the Quadrangle, drivers may be asked to park their vehicles in a general parking area after dropping off their passengers. For visitors who must park in handicapped spaces, please be sure to bring your personal State Handicapped Parking Tag or verification of it. This tag or tag verification will allow you to park in a handicapped space on campus.

Three entrances to the Quadrangle (where Commencement is being held) are ramped for wheelchair access including the entrances south and north of Ridgley Hall and between north Duncker and west Cupples I Halls. Once inside the Quadrangle, visitors with special needs will be assisted by one of the ushers for proper seating.
